About Us
Welcome to Bods
BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win.
The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.
Membership has surged in the last few years and as at March 2025 we have 27 paid members and only 5 unfinancial.
Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2025 so there are no spotsd available
We ask all unfinancial players to pay up front at the next game of the year that you play.
Read below to understand how it all began.
13 April 2025 Glenmore Heritage Valley
DOG WINS 17TH BODS TITLE
Well most had a difficult day today with some shocking scores but i was able to produce the only under handicap round and set a new nett score record for Glenmore.
As the heading suggest i have won 17 titles which is now the next best by 2.
A big welcome back to Warren Hooton who last played with us in 2009 well done avoiding the wig by a long way today.
The captin Jason Schweizer was a late cancellation today waking up and realising he was too sick to play.
We have an update on Dave Ralph he did wkae up but frorgot about Bods - not sure who can do that.
Well Gareth Mackinnon got the chips back to back and we have had this happen 19 times over the years but only 1 player has done it 3 times in a row and that Is Nev Raphael back in 2002 who had never played golf in his life before he joined Bods.
The Bods fines has now raised over $80 and while i gave an amnesty today because i was in a happy mood after my win some still dont realise you have to fill the card out at the bottom and the top. The fine for Hurstville will be any lost ball.
No Handbraking today no one clould get close enough.
Electric buggies did not have a good run today going off course- George and Scotty maybe should have been breathalysed?
Bods Tour is only 6 months away and we are looking to see if anyone else wants to come as we have an ex foundation player wanting to come so we will expand to 20 if anyone interested please let me know to add you to our numbers.
Only had 1 player Matt Spalding intersted in a new shirt we need 10 as a minimum order please let me know if interested.
All is still not well with the world today as Josh Peterson has now gone 3 months without a nearest the pin a mental health check will definitely be required if this continues.

The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.
